Effects of writers' strike kick in

Ugly Betty and the rest of the Beautiful Sunday lineup will be taking a break after next week.
The Hollywood writers' strike may be over but the effects are only just beginning to kick in for New Zealand audiences as series are forced off-air while programmers wait for new episodes to arrive.
TV2's Sunday line-up of Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy and Men In Trees will take a week's break from April 13 to 27.
Desperate Housewives is on a two-week hiatus from next Monday, when it will return alongside a new series of Brothers & Sisters on Monday, April 28.
If you missed last night's episode of Lost, you'll be waiting a while for your next fix as the series takes a month-long break, returning on Wednesday, May 7.
Over on TV3 things aren't quite so disrupted, though House will be taking a mid-season break soon.
Prison Break is also set to wrap soon after the strike saw the series cut short, much-like the recent brief season of Heroes.
And don't breathe easy yet.
Just as Hollywood returned to business as usual following the 100-day strike, rumours are swirling that the Screen Actors Guild could follow suit if they don't get the deal they're looking for during an upcoming contract renewal.
