You've seen her on America's Next Top Model. She graced the runways of the recent Funkshion fashion shows in Miami Beach. And the last time she hosted a Thursday night Headliner Market Group party at Miami's Karu & Y, the list of attendees included music producer PharellWilliams, rapper Busta Rhymes, comedian DeRay Davis, the Golden State Warriors basketball team (in town to play the Heat) and more than 1,200 of her closest friends. Miami model AnchalJoseph, 21, seems to be doing just fine, despite being the seventh contestant eliminated from the reality show last season. ' Tyra [ Banks] noticed my insecurities. She said, `You could have made it, you could have won it. You were beautiful and intimidating, you just let your insecurities get in the way.' '' Anchal, who has appeared in French Vogue and can be also spotted at the Delano or Mandarin Oriental (among her favorite hotels), admits she doesn't watch the show much this season, and with her current schedule it's understandable. We caught up with her at Karu & Y recently before her hosting duties. Q: How did you get discovered? A: Believe it or not, I got discovered on MySpace. They actually contacted me to try out, and I wrote them back, 'This is fake. Don't send me e-mails anymore.' But they were like, no this is legitimate, come down and interview. So I went and didn't think anything of it. There were 200 girls, and I was actually chosen from Miami.'' Q: What did you learn from ``Top Model''? A: It made me more self-confident and made me realize the issues with myself and I gained so much out of it, even though I didn't make it to the top. Q: Where do you like to hang out? A: South Beach, of course. And I went to this place recently, Purdy Lounge, and no one recognizes you and it's dark in there. They just leave you alone. By far that has to be my favorite. Q: What about to eat? A: I am in love with Luna Cafe. It's awesome for Italian food and the service is great. Q: What is the biggest misconception of models? A: We eat. We are not all bulimic or anorexic. I think my biggest weakness on Top Model was that I ate too much. But we eat and we work out. -- FRED GONZALEZ
